Subject Matter expert for installation, configuration, implementation and Training of the IBM Rational Team Unifying Platform (TUP).

We are seeking a qualified resource as the Subject Matter Expert for the installation, configuration, implementation, and training of the IBM Rational Team Unifying Platform (TUP). The candidate will work with the Project Management Office and Application Development Division.

The Product Specialist is the expert for a technical development or execution environment product or set of products. Primary responsibility is to ensure availability and facilitate productive use of a product for Application Teams or end users.

Tasks will focus on:

Consultant will perform highly advanced technical work on zLinux and Oracle 10g database mgmt environment. You will provide technical expertise in establishing and maintaining a database architecture supported by BIS, which includes Oracle 10g on zLinux.

Provide technical support in the design, development and implementation of database security, recovery, reorganization and backup procedures as well as the monitoring of database performance.

Provide technical assistance to BIS DBA staff for problem analysis and resolution for database software and procedures.

Project Lead and Primary Developer to support the Governor's Intervention and Prevention Initiatives. The Product Specialist is the expert for the technical modification and development of all new applications/interfaces which will be in ASP.NET/VB.NET on Framework 3.5. All reports will be developed in Crystal Reports 11. The backend database is MS SQL Server 2005.

This requirement equates to phase 1 and 2 of the overall System Upgrade Project. Phase 3 and 4 to follow.

The Project Manager(s) will:

• • Plans and organizes the work of project personnel.
• • Prepares and updates detailed project plans using Niku Clarity. Monitors progress to plan, makes necessary adjustments to ensure projects are completed on time.
• • Facilitates project related meetings, develops agendas, schedules participants, documents minutes and distributes to team. Updates project plan based on meeting communications.
• • Follows up with Team Leader and/or assigned resources regarding any past due deliverables.
• • Reports project status and related issues to superiors on a regular and timely basis, recognizing the sensitivity of key issues to the overall organization and administration.
• • Performs related duties as required.

Required Education and Experience:

• • A Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent is required. Formal training in project management is desired.
• • A minimum of five years of project management experience is required.
• • Demonstrated proficiency in project management techniques and coordination of technical resources. Knowledge of problem analysis and hardware/software configuration is required.
• • Highly effective oral and written communication skills are required to supervise project personnel and report to senior management and to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills required including ability to work effectively in a team environment. High level of proficiency in effective problem solving required.

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

• • Code enhancement and development programs and/or required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standards.
• • Test enhancement and development programs.
• • Participate in structured code reviews/walkthroughs.
• • Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application.
• • Operating System expertise sufficient to perform performance and tuning diagnostics.

• • Plan all required process steps.
• • Review and understand the Application Team work plan.
